The story

Ave Maria is the recipe Carla cared about most: a special ale with hemp grown here in Sardinia and nutritional yeast — her other trade walking into the brewhouse. It was born on draught, for the bars; the bottle came later. Mascagni’s Ave Maria is the Intermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana with words: the piece everyone has heard at least once, perhaps without knowing whose it was.

Tasting notes

Hemp special ale, 5.2% vol. Golden, with a fine and lasting head. A malt base, pleasantly sweet; the herbaceous, intense notes of hemp up front, with the hops keeping the balance.
